Day 6 done...

Ended today a little bit early. We are all kinda tired.

Left Treehouse at 7:30 this morning. Got to AK at 8:30. 1 hour seems to be the transit time to and from Treehouses from your door to your park. At least it was today. That included waiting for buses but we didn't have long to wait. If staying at a Treehouse I would give 1.5 hours transit just of be safe.

Anyway, we got to AK and just as we were getting in line for the turnstiles they opened a new one and I was first in line. I was also the first person through the turnstiles into the park this morning! Woohoo!

After the opening ceremony at the Tree of Life we went to ride KS. It was just like I remembered it. A nice experience with some good animal views. I could do without the whole, let's save the baby elephant thing though. I find it kinda lame.

After KS we got some Photopass pics and I spent about 15 mins waiting/looking for Devine. Found out eventually from a CM she was running late due to a taping at the front of the park. At this point we grabbed 6 FP for EE for only 3 of us riding. We then waited on line for the Nemo show, which I really Love, I just wasn't in the mood for it today. So, while the rest of my group saw the show, I took off on my own for a bit.

I was able to ride EE Single rider 3 times with a total of 5 minutes waiting. Total Win! Got front car, front seat first time. Last car, second seat second time around and then smack in the middle for my 3rd ride. All 3 places are Very different! The further back you sit, the more compressive G's you feel during the backwards section of the ride.

After my 3 rides on EE it was time to find Devine again. This time I spotted her handler coming out and saw her before she even got anywhere! Absolutely incredible! The way she moves and carries herself is indescribeable! Her handler even took a few pics of her with me (which arson my iPhone and I will post up later - typing on my iPad now). I spent able 10 minutes just watching her. Finally it was time to meet my group again.

I grabbed 3 Mickey ice cream bars for the kids because I knew they would need a snack. While the group moved up to EE to use I FPs I ran and got 3 more FPs for Dinosaur. I then met the group at EE and Bil, Sil and I rode EE x2 while kids munched on their ice cream.

Flights of Wonder was next. Kids really enjoyed that show, as did I since I am a big animal lover. That got out at 1:30 and our Yak and Yeti ADR wasn't until 2:30, but we were able to get right in anyway! Bonus! Good food, especially the appetizers. The fried string beans were awesome.

After lunch, we headed to Dinosaur and Bil, Sil and I used our FPs. At this point it was almost 4:00 (where did the day go?) and we decided to begin the journey back to the TH. once again, it took almost exactly 1 hour. We ordered in expensive and only mediocre pizza for dinner and now we are just relaxing. I am enjoying the jacuzzi tub in the master bath (nice little DVC perk!)

Anyway, that's it for today. Tomorrow is an early start as DHS has EMH mornings and we want to be there for RD and TSM mayhem. Plan is FP TSM, standby RnR and then FP ToT if possible and if not either stand by ToT or ST2. Lunch at 50's at 1:30 which I plan on missing anyway. Lou Mongello is having his meet of the month in the Rose Garden in MK at 2 and I plan on heading over there for that.

Have a good night all!
